THE ARTWORKS
In my third year at university, I undertook a placement with Artworks, located in Halifax. Artworks is a Community Interest Company (CIC), who are an Art School, Gallery and Artist Studios providing opportunity and engagement with high quality arts provision for all ages and all abilities. By combining classic techniques with inspirational approaches, they see art connect people to themselves through the discovery of talents and by developing confidence. They find art also connects us to each other as we discover shared passions and interests.
Over the course of my time here, I have worked on a variety of tasks and projects, from design work to working behind the scenes on curating their term timetables, maintaining and updating their website as well as handling their social media. For Artworks, I managed a full re-brand of their company and worked alongside their directors to create a 'pitch deck' to help bring in donors and supporters for their charity. I have included a small sample of the work I created for them.
